At the time of posting, I’m up in Western Mass. for the final weekend of my Permaculture Design Certification Course. A big reason I signed up for the course after years of maybe-somedays was a desire to feel like I could DO SOMETHING about climate dread and general hopelessness about the dang world.
The impending changes coming to this country/world are really going to make that extra challenging.
At the time of writing, I’m in my apartment in Brooklyn. There are dumplings in my belly, and the sounds of kids laughing and running around at the playground across the street are filling my studio.
I hope you’re being kind to yourselves. I hope you’re not feeling too hopeless.
“This is not a time to be dismayed. This is punk rock time. This is what Joe Strummer trained you for. It is now time to go. You’re a good person. That means more now than ever.”
— Henry Rollins
